Who we are

The Sequoia Partnership Ltd collects, uses and is responsible for certain personal data about you. When we do so we are regulated under the General Data Protection Regulation which applies across the European Union (including in the United Kingdom) and we are responsible as ‘controller’ of that personal data for the purposes of those laws.

Whether data has to be provided by you, and if so why

The provision of your name, email and phone number is required from you to enable us to carry out our obligations arising from any contracts entered into between you and us and to provide you with the data, products and services that you request from us. We will inform you at the point of collecting data from you, whether you are required to provide the data to us.

How long your personal data will be kept

  • We will hold your name, email address and phone number for as long as we have a contractual relationship with you. Once the contractual relationship ends, we will hold the personal data for a further 6 years, unless we are required to hold this data for longer by law.
  • If we hold your personal data for marketing purposes, we will hold that data until you inform us that you no longer wish us to contact you for marketing purposes.

Reasons we can collect and use your personal data

We rely on "contractual", "consensual "and "legitimate interests" as the lawful bases on which we collect and use your personal data.

Our legitimate interests are business development whereby we inform customers and potential customers of services and updates which may be of interest to them.

Transfer of your data out of the EEA

Whenever we transfer your personal data out of the EEA, we ensure a similar degree of protection is afforded to it as in the EEA. We will only transfer your personal data to countries that have been deemed to provide an adequate level of protection for personal data by the European Commission.

Keeping your personal data secure

We have appropriate security measures in place to prevent personal data from being accidentally lost, or used or accessed in an unauthorised way. We limit access to your personal data to those who have a genuine business need to know it. Those processing your data will do so only in an authorised manner and are subject to a duty of confidentiality.

We also have procedures in place to deal with any suspected data security breach. We will notify you and any applicable regulator of a suspected data security breach where we are legally required to do so.
