Are you happy with your Systems Implementation?
|
Many firms tell us their systems implementation doesn’t give them what they thought it would. A lot of firms also tell us that their forecasting is below-par.
So we thought we’d develop a tool that took the information in a system and analysed the system’s performance against best practice to see if there was room for improvement - the equivalent of an M.O.T for your system.
We also wanted to build a tool that would help us do this analysis quickly. So we did.

What does our Systems M.O.T service do?
Our systems M.O.T tool tells you;
- If your forecasting can be improved – by comparing it to the best forecast accuracy your particular business can hope to achieve
- The optimum service level you should be giving your customers – so you can minimise lost revenue opportunities and keep working capital costs to a minimum.
|
How does it work?
Our appraisal tool takes an extract of your systems data and analyses your demand patterns to determine the amount of random noise in your demand – whilst you can forecast signals such as seasonality, you can’t forecast random noise - so the ratio of signal to noise in your demand pattern determines how accurate your forecasting could ever hope to be.
Analysing the variability of your demand pattern also tells us how many weeks of safety stock you need to achieve a given service level – which combined with your gross margin gives you the optimum service level for each SKU and customer.
We’ve been doing this analysis for FMCG firms for the last 15 years - during that time we've automated more and more of the number crunching, so we can offer this service quicker and cheaper than ever before.
We’re independent of all systems suppliers (we don’t sell systems) so offer a totally impartial service.
